The diving school BLUE OCEAN DIVERS LAGOS was founded in 1996 by us, John Giddings, English PADI/IAHD instructor and Elmar Vees, German PADI/CMAS diving instructor. We have been living in Lagos for 15 years and have all necessary licences and insurances in order to legally operate a diving school in Portugal. For over 10 years we have been organizing all year round, excursions to the most beautiful diving areas at the Algarve coast whereby safety has always been our utmost priority.

The premises of our diving school is located in the buildings of the Motel Ancora, directly at the 50 m long pool, which we also use for instruction.

The diving school disposes of:
- Class rooms, with computer, TV and DVD-player
- Equipment room, for guests
- Changing rooms
- Showers, toilets
- Compressor room
- 50 m pool with pool bar and restaurant
- workshop

The equipment of the diving school consists of:
- 12 regulators from Scubapro and Apualung, all with Octopus and console
- 12 jackets, Mares Vector and Aqualung Waves
- 20 ABC-equipments
- 35 steel tanks 10 - 12 L and 15 L with DIN or int. valves
- Thirty 7 mm 2 pieces wet suits from Aquata
- 2 Bauer marine compressors
- Diving lights, diving computers and underwater digital camera
- First aid box and oxygen

All diving equipments are state-of-the-art technology and meet all the safety regulations and are maintained regularly.
